OPEN FOLK

BARCELONA

Echoes of Catalonia

Founded in November 2017 by Martin Grossman, co-founder of Open Folk, the Barcelona chapter has blossomed into a vibrant community of acoustic singer-songwriters in Catalonia. Embracing a diverse array of artists from Europe and beyond, Open Folk Barcelona fosters a dynamic and inclusive space for music enthusiasts.

Known for its acclaimed Open Folk Experience events, which offer immersive performances in secret locations across the city, Open Folk Barcelona showcases the beauty of acoustic music against the backdrop of Barcelona's stunning architecture.

When the pandemic hit, the chapter adapted, hosting innovative video sessions to connect artists and audiences virtually. Now, with the launch of Casa Astor in the Sants neighborhood, Open Folk Barcelona has found a new home for its weekly events, welcoming music lovers every Tuesday.

Celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures found in Spain, Open Folk Barcelona offers a stage for artists from diverse backgrounds to share their stories and melodies. Renowned artists such as Nico Roig, Raquel Lua, Anna Trea, and Alessio Arena have graced the stage at Open Folk Barcelona, captivating audiences with their soulful performances.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or a passionate music enthusiast, join us at Casa Astor and experience the magic of Open Folk Barcelona.
